Why Is English So Hard To Learn
If you are living in USA and do not speak English fluently, you will see that you are unable to communicate with the people around you. There maybe many reasons to learn any language, but the very first and most important reason is to adapt to the surroundings in which you live. Many minority groups reside in USA and most of them lack communication with their neighbors and other persons around them just because they cannot understand or speak English.
If you are ready to learn English as a second language, and you want to speak English as fluently as the native speakers do, you will have to consider some basic points.
First of all, you should eliminate the thought from your mind that English is very hard to learn. In fact, for people living in US, English is the easiest language to learn. Surprised? I bet you would be!
For learning purposes, every person needs a specific environment that allows him to adapt and bring a change in himself. If the environment is not readily available, the person has to create the environment for him to proceed with the learning process. The most difficult thing to achieve is to create a good learning environment. This is already available for English language enthusiasts like you and me.
To learn a new language, you need some people whom you can talk to in that language. If you are trying to learn the English language for the purpose of communication via speech, you will need a person or two to talk with you in the same language which you are trying to learn. You will find many people who are willing help you in doing this.
Go and take a walk to the nearest shop. Start the conversation by asking the individual’s view about a particular product. Even if your language is broken into pieces, contains mispronounced words and grammatical errors, the shopkeeper will correct you by prompting the correct sentence for you. That’s it! You just got yourself a personal tutor for you absolutely no cost at all!
An important trait that you must develop in yourself while trying to learn English is to observe others. While you are talking to any native speaker, observe him or her as much as you can. Observe how a native speaker pronounces a particular word, and how he uses different words in a particular sentence. Your main concern while observing should be to learn how to use the words in your sentences.
If you want to learn English language quickly, you should join some paid online language courses or visit a shop and buy some CDs or DVDs that teach you English. The trick is lies in learning new words, understand grammar, constructing sentences and using all you learn in general talks with other people you come across. When you do this, the language will start to become a part of your routine life and speaking English would not be difficult at all.
